Remove & Install EUI (Electronic Unit Injectors)
Start By:a. remove valve cover assembliesb. remove rocker arm assemblies Drain fuel from cylinder head. Dispose of fuel in a suitable container. 1. Disconnect wires (1) and remove fuel injector hold down bolt (2). 2. Use a prybar under hold down (3) and pry fuel injector out of head. Remove fuel injector. The following steps are for the installation of the fuel injectors.3. Inspect the fuel injector seals and replace as necessary. Lubricate the seals with STP Engine Oil Treatment. Position the injector in the head with hold down (3) in place. First push down on the EUI return spring to seat the injector. Then install hold down bolt (2) and pull the fuel injector completely into the bore.4. Tighten the clamping bolt for the fuel injector to 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).5. Loosen the bolt until you can turn the bolt by hand.6. Tighten the clamping bolt for the fuel injector to 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).7. Connect wires (1) to their proper location.End By:a. Install rocker arm assemblies and make all rocker arm adjustments.b. Install valve cover assemblies.
