3116 (4KG, 1SK) Marine Engines Equipped With The Attachment 4P7044 Auxiliary Sea Water Pump GroupDescription of Change: A new cast brass outlet pipe with a four bolt mounting flange is used on the attachment auxiliary sea water pump group. Formerly, a plastic pipe with a two bolt mounting flange was used. The plastic pipe could become deformed at the mounting flange and result in a leak. The auxiliary sea water pump that the outlet pipe mounts on already has four bolt holes for the four bolt mounting flange. The new brass outlet pipe is stronger and the four bolt mounting flange will help prevent leaks.Adaptable To: The new 1096303 Pipe and additional two 3E9854 Bolts and two 9M1974 Washers (reuse the original two mounting bolts and washers) are a direct replacement for the former 4P8188 Pipe in the 4P7044 Auxiliary Sea Water Pump Group. The former pipe is canceled. The new pipe was effective with 3116 Marine Engine 4KG2074 and 1SK694. The new components are adaptable to all earlier 3116 4KG and 1SK Marine Engines that used th plastic pipe (approximate affected serial number range is 4KG1796-2074).
