Right Side of the Boom (1) Tilt linkage position sensor. (Lever.)
Remove the covers from the sensor. Disconnect the sensor connector from the harness connector.
The position sensor can be damaged if too much force is applied against the internal stops of the sensor. Be careful when removing the position sensor lever so that the shaft does not force the sensor against the stops.
Remove the spring from lever (2) .
Remove sensor (1) from the boom. Loosen the bolt on the lever and remove the lever.
Remove the tilt linkage position sensor from the housing.

Sensor Housing (3) Tang end.
Install the sensor on the housing. Tang end (3) on the shaft must line up with the slot in the sensor.
Install the lever on the shaft. Do not tighten the lever at this time.
Install the sensor on the boom. Connect the sensor connector to the harness connector.
The position sensor can be damaged if too much force is applied against the internal stops of the sensor. Always use care when turning the shaft attached to the sensor.
Install the spring.
Position the lever on the shaft. The roller must be against the center of the edge of the cam. Use a screwdriver in order to turn the shaft clockwise to the end of travel. Turn the shaft counterclockwise by one-eighth turn.
Tighten the bolt on the lever in order to prevent the lever from rotating on the shaft.
Set the tilt linkage position sensor.Reference: For the correct procedure to set the tilt linkage position sensor, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "Position Sensor (Tilt Linkage) - Set" for the machine that is being serviced.
