Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to axle housing (10) . The weight of axle housing (10) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb). Apply Tooling (D) to the mating surface of axle housing (10) . Install axle housing (10) . Install bolts (11) . Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 570 80 N m (420 60 lb ft).

Install guard (9) . Install tube assemblies (6) , (7) , and (8) .

Install hub (4) and axle shaft (5) . Install Tooling (A) .

Attach a suitable lifting device, Tooling (B) , and Tooling (C) to the final drive and wheel (3) . The weight of the final drive and wheel (2) is approximately 197 kg (435 lb).
Slide the final drive and wheel (3) onto Tooling (A) . Remove Tooling (B) , and Tooling (C) . Connect the final drive and wheel (3) to the axle housing and install bolts (1) . Bolts (2) were previously installed. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 490 N m (361 lb ft).End By: Install the axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fixed Axle (Front) - Install" or Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Install".
