TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT
1-Tie rod end. 2-Tie rod. 3-Tie rod. 4-Tie rod end. 5-Pin. 6-Pin. 7-Pin. C-Distance between wheel centers at front. D-44.94 in. (1141,5 mm) reference dimension. E-43.94 in. (1116,1 mm) reference dimension. F-Distance between wheel centers at rear.5. Spin the wheels, and with a piece of chalk held against the center of the tire, make a band approximately one inch wide around the circumference.6. Spin the wheels again and scribe a thin line in the chalk line.7. Lower the wheels to the ground. Measure distance (C) between the scribed lines at the front of the tire at hub height.8. Measure distance (F) at the rear of the tires in the same manner. The difference between these measurements denotes the amount of toe-in or toe-out present. Distance (C) at the front of the tire should be .12 to .25 in. (3,0 to 6,3 mm) less than distance (F) at the rear of the tires.9. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the clamp bolts in tie rod ends (1) and (4).10. Turn tie rods (2) and (3) an equal amount until the proper toe-in is obtained.11. Tighten the clamp bolts in the tie rod ends and roll the machine forward approximately two feet, allowing the wheels to assume a new position and recheck the toe-in.12. Continue this procedure until the proper adjustment is obtained.13. Place the front wheels in the maximum right turn and right lean position.
LEANING WHEEL ARM CLEARANCE (Right front wheel in maximum RIGHT TURN and RIGHT LEAN position)

Measure the clearance at (G) between the right side spindle steering arm (8) and leaning wheel arm (9). Place the front wheels in their maximum left turn and left lean position. Measure the clearance between the left side spindle steering arm and the leaning wheel arm.15. Readjust the rods (2) and (3) if necessary to equalize the right and left side clearances within .12 in. (3,0 mm). When readjusting tie rods for leaning wheel arm clearance, be sure to turn each tie rod the same amount to maintain the proper toe-in adjustment.Disc Brakes
