Work Tool Pump (11) Pressure cutoff valve. (12) Work tool pump. (13) Pressure tap.
Connect the pressure gauge to pressure tap (13) .
Start the engine. Increase the engine speed to 2350 50 RPM.

Activate the switch for the disc saw.
To adjust the discharge pressure of the work tool pump, loosen the locknut on pressure cutoff valve (11) .
Turn the adjustment screw on pressure cutoff valve (11) until the pressure reading from pressure tap (12) reads approximately 37900 200 kPa (5500 30 psi).
Move the switch for the disc saw to the OFF position.
Reduce the engine speed to low idle.
Shut off the engine.
Repeat the test for the saw performance.Adjust the Compensator of the Saw Motor
The following procedure adjusts the start of upstroke pressure for the saw motor.The work tool pump supplies oil to the saw motor. The saw motor starts at maximum displacement. After the pump pressure to the saw motor drops from the maximum to the pressure of the compensator, the displacement of the saw motor decreases. The pressure of the compensator controls the shift point of the saw motor from maximum displacement to minimum displacement. The pressure of the compensator will be adjusted in this procedure.Note: The following procedure requires two people. The procedure should be performed outside.

Install transport pin (1). Install the bolt and the nut on transport pin (1). Ensure that transport guard (2) is installed on the felling head.

Connect the pressure gauge to pressure tap (M) .

Open the access door at the rear of the machine.
Start the engine.
Increase the engine speed to 2350 50 RPM.

Temporarily set pressure cutoff valve (11) of the work tool pump on the machine to 25500 170 kPa (3700 25 psi). Ensure that the pressure gauge at pressure port (G) on the felling head reads 25500 170 kPa (3700 25 psi). This pressure reading will be the output of the work tool pump.Note: Refer to the "Adjust the Pressure of the Piston Pump (Work Tool)".

Remove cap (17). Loosen locknut (16). Turn adjustment screw (15) on displacement control valve (14) until the pressure reading from pressure tap (M) reads 4135 170 kPa (600 25 psi). Note: The adjustment screw is extremely sensitive. The pressure may rise from this pressure to a much higher pressure with very little change on the adjustment screw. This increase indicates that the shift point for the motor has been reached. If this occurs, the performance of the saw will change.
When the correct pressure has been reached, tighten locknut (16)
