Use Tooling (E) and a suitable press to install seal (18) in body (9).

Use Tooling (C) to install retaining ring (16) on shaft (14).
Use a suitable press to install bearing (17) on shaft (14).
Install spacer (15).
Use a suitable press to install bearing (13) on shaft (14).

Apply clean engine oil to bearing (13) and bearing (17). Install the shaft assembly in housing (9).
Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (12).

Position gear (11) on the shaft assembly. Install bolt (10).
Clean water only is permitted for use as a lubricant for assistance at installation. Do not damage or put hands on the wear surface of the carbon ring or the ceramic ring. Install the ceramic ring with the smoothest face of the ring toward the carbon seal assembly.

Use Tooling (F) to install the ceramic part of seal assembly (7) in housing (3).
