Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: The hydraulic tank (steering, hydraulic fan) is on the left side of the machine.
Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or proper disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, Hydraulic System oil (Implement and brake) - Change.

Remove panel (1).

Disconnect hose assemblies (3) and remove bolt (4).

Remove bolts (6) and disconnect harness assembly (5).

Disconnect hose assemblies (7).

Remove bolts (8) and panel (9).

Remove bolts (10) and hose (12).Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to remove hydraulic tank (11). The weight of hydraulic tank (11) is approximately 140 kg (309 lb). Remove hydraulic tank assembly (11).Installation Procedure
Install hydraulic tank assembly (11) in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten sensors (13) to a torque of 22 3 N m (195 27 lb in).
Tighten sensor (14) to a torque of 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).

Tighten switch assembly (15) to a torque of 6.78 1.41 N m (60.01 12.48 lb in).
