(1) Manual pressure reliefThe manual pressure relief (plastic boot) (1) on top of the 358-9475 Valve As, 358-9476 Relief Valve As, 358-9477 Valve As, or 358-9566 Relief Valve As can easily tear or leak causing moisture to enter the breather plunger and cause the plunger to stick and/or leak. Refer to Illustration 1.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, and recommending to follow the below interim solution.If the breather sticks and/or leaks, replace the former 358-9475 Valve As, 358-9476 Relief Valve As, 358-9477 Valve As, or 358-9566 Relief Valve As with the same.Note: Ensure that the plastic boot is not damaged.
