Remove cap (2) and turn the adjustment screw on the bulldozer control valve.

Turn the adjustment screw inward in order to raise maximum pressure.
Turn the adjustment screw outward to lower maximum pressure.
After the correct pressure adjustment is set and then checked, install cap (2) on the bulldozer control valve.
Remove the test equipment from pressure tap (1) .
Install the floorplate.Bulldozer Lift and Ripper Relief Valve
The main relief valve in the bulldozer control valve is in all of the implement hydraulic circuits except the bulldozer tilt circuit.The bulldozer tilt relief valve is isolated from all other circuits during tilt operation only.The tilt relief valve is intentionally set at 1550 kPa (225 psi) above the main relief valve in order to avoid the interaction of the two relief valves.Note: The tilt relief valve should be set correctly before the main relief valve is set.

Start the engine.
Lift the bulldozer approximately 380 mm (15 inches) off the ground.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to ON position.
Slowly move the bulldozer control lever toward the FLOAT position in order to move the bulldozer slowly to the ground.
Move the control lever for the bulldozer to each operating position several times in order to remove the pressure from the hydraulic lines.
Move the control lever to the HOLD position.
If the machine has a ripper, proceed to Step 11.
Turn the key to OFF position.
Machines without a ripper
Disconnect the rod end hydraulic lines from each lift cylinder.
Install the cover and the seal in each of the hydraulic lines for the lift cylinders.
Reconnect the rod end hydraulic lines to each lift cylinder.
Assemble the pressure gauge, the hose, and the coupler assembly together.
Remove the floorplate from the machine.

Connect the coupler with the pressure gauge on pressure tap (3) .
Install the floorplate.
Start the engine and run the engine at maximum speed.
Observe the test gauge and slowly move the control lever to the RAISE position. Use either the bulldozer control lever or the ripper control lever if the machine has a ripper.
The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting of the main relief valve.
Do not hold the dozer control lever in the RAISE position at relief valve pressure for more than five seconds.
Main relief valve pressure setting is 18790 520 kPa (2725 75 psi).
Setting the main relief valve pressureNote: There is an adjustment screw for adjusting the main relief valve pressure setting.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to ON position.
