Removal Procedure
Start By:
Prepare the machine for disassembly and assembly procedures. For additional information, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Preparation for Disassembly".
Open the hood. For additional information, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hood Tilt".

Attach a hoist and suitable lifting slings to hood (1) .

Remove pin (2) (not shown) that secures the tilt cylinder to the hood. Position tilt cylinder (3) to the vertical position and secure tilt cylinder (3) in the vertical position.

Remove locknut (6) and bolt (7). Remove pin (5) .
Repeat Step 3 for the other pin.
Use the hoist to remove hood (1). The weight of hood (1) is 375 kg (820 lb).Installation Procedure

Attach a hoist and suitable lifting slings to hood (1) .
Use the hoist to install hood (1). The weight of hood (1) is 375 kg (820 lb).

Install pin (5). Install locknut (6) and bolt (7) .
Repeat Step 3 for the other pin.

Place tilt cylinder (3) in the horizontal position. Install pin (2) (not shown) in order to secure the tilt cylinder to the hood. End By: Close the hood. For additional information, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hood Tilt".
