1. Remove steering linkage (1) from steering control valve.2. Disconnect hoses (2). Put covers on hoses to keep out dirt. Put identification on hoses.3. Remove bolts (4) that hold control valve to bracket.4. Fasten a hoist to control valve (3) and remove it.Install Steering Control Valve
1. Put steering control valve in position on bracket. Install the bolts that hold it.2. Remove covers from the hoses and connect them to the control valve.3. Install steering linkage.end by: a) install scraper control valveb) install elevator control valveDisassemble Steering Control Valve
start by: a) remove steering control valve 1. Remove plug (5), O-ring seal (4), shims (3), spring (2) and valve (1) from the cover.2. Remove cover (6) and four O-ring seals after removing four bolts (7). 3. Remove seat (12), O-ring seal (11), spring (10), spring (9), and valve (8) from bore in body. Remove O-ring seal from the body.4. Remove retainer (16), spring (15), washer (14), retainer (13), shims (19), and stem (18) from bore in body.5. Make a separation of the components in Step 4 by removing bolt (17), lockwasher (21), and washer (20) from the stem. 6. Remove plug (23) and O-ring seal (26) from the body.7. Use tool group (A) to remove seat (22) and O-ring seal (25). Remove the ball (24).8. Use tool (B) to remove seat (28) and O-ring seal (27). 9. Remove plug (32), O-ring seal (31), spring (29) and ball (30) from the bottom of the body. 10. Remove cover (34) after removing four bolts.11. Remove the seal (33) from the cover with tooling (C). Remove O-ring a seal (36).12. Remove the O-ring seal (38), spacer (37) and O-ring seal (35) from the spacer.Assemble Steering Control Valve
1. Install O-ring seal (4) on spacer (5) and O-ring ring seal (6) in cover.2. Install the seal (2) in the cover (1) with tooling (A).3. Put SAE 10 oil on lip of the seal and install the cover with four bolts. 4. Install the plug (8), O-ring seal (10), spring (9), and ball (7) into the bottom of the body. 5. Install seat (11) with O-ring seal (14), ball (15), seat (16) with O-ring seal (12), and plug (17) with O-ring seal (13) into the body.6. Fasten the retainer (30), spring (24), washer (29), retainer (23), and shims (28) to the stem (27) with a bolt (26), lockwasher (31), and a washer (25).7. Install the components in Step 6 as a unit into the bore of the body. 8. Install the valve (18), spring (19), spring (20), O-ring seal (21) and seat (22) into the bore in the body. Install the O-ring seal into the body. 9. Install cover (35) with O-ring seals on to body with four bolts (36).10. Install valve (32), spring (37), shims (33), O-ring seal (38) and plug (34) into the cover.end by: a) install steering control valve
