Hydraulic Control Inputs for "Relief Valve #2"

Select a work tool that will allow for two-way flow from two pumps. The Variable Relief Valve #1 and #2 (Parameter #10 and #11) pressure setting must be set to 40000 kPa (5802 psi) for the work tool within the monitor.Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool - Select" for the Tool Control System.Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool Parameter - Program" for the Tool Control System.Monitor Procedure
The following procedure will allow the user to calibrate the variable relief valves using the monitor.
Enter "Service" from Setting menu. Input the password "9992".

Select "Calibrations" from the "Service" menu.

Select "Variable Relief Valves" from the "Calibrations" menu.

Select "Relief Valve #" for the appropriate valve from the "Variable Relief Valves" menu.
Press the OK key to start the calibration. The engine RPM will automatically increase to the equivalence of engine speed dial 7.
Confirm the notes on the monitor display. Set up the test conditions in accordance with the instructions. Press the OK key.Note: Refer to the previous Illustrations for the correct control input for the machine.
Press and hold the control input for activation of the work tool to the FULL ON position during the calibration.
If calibration was successful and no errors occurred, the display will indicate that the calibration is complete.
The "Error" screen will be displayed on the monitor if an error occurs. The process of calibration will not be saved and the process must be restarted.Cat Electronic Technician Procedure
The following procedure will allow the user to calibrate the variable relief valves using the Cat Electronic Technician.

Diagnostic connector for Cat Electronic Technician
(1) Service port
Connect the Cat Electronic Technician to the diagnostic connector located behind the seat on the left side of the cab.
Start Cat Electronic Technician.

Select the ECM for "Implement Control".

Select "Calibrations" from the "Service"menu.

Highlight "PRV - Variable Relief Pressure Calibration" and click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the screen.

Select the variable relief valves to calibrate and press the "Begin" button.
Follow the instructions on the screen. Press "Next" button to continue through to the next step.
Press and hold the control input for activation of the work tool to the FULL ON position during the calibration.
If the calibration was successful and no errors occurred, the display will indicate that the calibration is complete. Press the "Finish" button to exit or move on to the next calibration.
If the calibration failed, the calibration is not saved. Press the "Restart" button to try the calibration again or press the "Finish" button to exit or move on to the next calibration.Test Procedure
