Frequency Tests And Adjustments

The hydraulic oil temperature should be at least 38°C (100°F). The vibratory system should not be run longer than five minutes with the drum stationary. If testing time longer than five minutes is required, the drum should be periodically rotated to lubricate the eccentric weight shaft bearings.1. Before performing the testing and adjusting procedure, do the following: * Apply the parking brake.* Place the speed and direction propel control lever in neutral.* Place tires under both drums. Apply a small piece of the reflective tape from the 1U6602 Phototach Group to the machine in the following location: * 3-Amplitude System-apply to the amplitude change wheel.* 2-Amplitude System-apply to the motor coupling.2. Start and run the engine at high idle.3. Depress vibratory control switch (1) to the ON position to start the vibratory system. Run both drums for tests. Record the vibrations per minute (vpm) from the optional gauge on the steering console or read the vpm from the 1U6602 Phototach Group.4. Use the following chart to check all the vibratory frequency conditions. Verify accuracy of the optional gauge on the control panel.
Do not run vibratory system with the drums on tires longer than 5 minutes. Rotate drums every 5 minutes to lubricate weight shaft bearings.
5. Depress the vibratory control switch to the OFF position to stop the vibratory system.6. If the frequency is not correct, adjustment to the vibratory pump must be made.
Vibratory Pump
(1) Locknut. (2) Adjusting screw.7. Location adjustments for Locknut (1) and adjusting screw (2): * 2-Amplitude - Low Amplitude* 3-Amplitude - ForwardTurn adjusting screw (2) counter clockwise to increase VPM and clockwise to decrease VPM.

Repeat steps 2 thru 7.10. Turn off engine, remove equipment and the tires from under the drums.Reversing (Automatic) Switches

Do not start the machine to perform the reversing switch adjustments.1. Lift the rubber boot up from the base of the propel control lever.2. Move the propel control lever 70% of total movement, in the reverse (R) direction.3. Loosen screw (3).4. Rotate reaction plate (5) toward reverse switch (6) until the switch is closed.5. Tighten screw (3).Forward Switch
6. Move the propel control lever 70% of total movement, in the forward (F) direction.7. Loosen screw (2).8. Rotate reaction plate (4) toward switch (7) until the switch is closed.9. Tighten screw (2).10. Install the rubber boot on the base of the propel control lever.Motor Leakage Test
