Information:
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped and when the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hands.
Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines and fittings to prevent any contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill cap located on the top of the hydraulic oil tank.2. Drain the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil tank. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 118 liters (31 U.S. gal). 3. Disconnect five hose assemblies (1) from steering pump (2).4. Remove two bolts (3), and remove steering pump (2) from the vibratory pump. For installation of the steering pump, reverse the removal steps. After the steering pump has been installed, fill the hydraulic oil tank to the correct level. Start By:a. remove steering pump1. Make sure the steering pump is clean and free of dirt and debris.2. Put alignment marks on the body and cover to ensure the steering pump will be reassembled properly. 3. Remove four hex head cap screws (1).4. Remove valve body (2). 5. Remove O-ring seals (3) from valve body (2). Check O-rings for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. There is spring pressure against plug (4).6. Remove plug (4) from the valve body. Remove the O-ring seal from the plug. Check the O-ring seal for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. 7. Remove spring (5) and piston (6) from valve body (2). 8. For assembly purposes, measure the distance from the end of of adjustment screw (8) to the face of nut (7). Loosen nut (7). Remove adjusting screw (8). 9. Remove spring (9) and valve poppet (10) under screw (8).

Remove four bolts (11) and washers.12. Remove cover (12). 13. Remove seal ring (13). Check two bushings (14) for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. 14. Remove thrust plate (15). If necessary, remove two dowel pins (16). When assembling, the bronze surface of thrust plate (15) must contact gear face. 15. Remove driven gear (17). 16. Remove drive gear (18). 17. Remove wear plate (19). Check the two bushings in bore under wear plate (19) and replace if necessary. 18. Remove
