Caterpillar Remanufactured Products Group announces theavailability of remanufactured
Duo-Cone seal plates for several models of off-highway trucks and tractors. TheDuo-Cone
seal plates are being made available to assist dealers in reducing Service andParking Brake
rebuild costs.
Coverage
Changes were made to the Duo-Cone seal system for 772B-789Ctrucks and tractors to
incorporate a 10-degree seal ring ramp angle to replace the former 6-degreeangle. It is
necessary to use all parts in this system with identical ramp angles. The former130-7910
Duo-Cone seal plate had a 6-degree angle and was replaced by the 153-0195 platewith a
10-degree angle. Service Magazine SEPD0525-00, publication date 22 May 2000,contains
complete model and adaptability information regarding this change. Please reviewto this article
in detail to ensure compatible parts are used together.
