A 1P-5559 Spark Plug Adapter Wrench 1 Start By:
Remove the spark plugs. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Spark Plugs - Remove and Install".
Personal injury can result from hot coolant, steam and alkali.At operating temperature, engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot coolant or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns.Remove cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure only when engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not attempt to tighten hose connections when the coolant is hot, the hose can come off causing burns.Cooling System Coolant Additive contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system to a level below the cylinder head.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove spark plug adapters (1) and the gaskets. Installation Procedure

Put liquid soap on O-ring seal (3). Install a new O-ring seal (3) and gasket (2) on each of the spark plug adapters (1).
Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of the spark plug adapters.
Install the spark plug adapters. Use Tooling (A) in order to tighten the spark plug adapters to a torque of 95 7 N m (70 5 lb ft).
Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Reference: For additional information about filling the coolant system, refer to Service Manual, SEBR0513.End By:
Install the spark plugs. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Spark Plugs - Remove and Install".
