7-2 Measuring Conditions
(1) Perform inspection and servicing of hydraulic excavator based on Operation Manual.(2) Measure the hydraulic excavator on a leveled ground.(3) Setting value for hydraulic oil temperature must be within the specified value of 50 5°C (122 9°F).(4) Measure the movement amount of rod from its position prior to the start of the measurement to its position after one minute.(5) Repeat the measurement three times, determine the average of measured values, then compare it with the performance standard value.7-3 Measuring Procedures
(1) Loading weight 1. Load the required amount of weight into the bucket with a crane. * If sand is to be used as the weight for this test, load sand of 1.5 specific gravity into a standard bucket.* Load sand into the bucket in accordance with the CECE bucket loading standard.(2) Warm up the engine in accordance with the instructions in the Operation Manual. * After warming up the engine, confirm that the water temperature gauge needle has reached the green zone. * I: Water temperature gauge(3) Set the hydraulic oil temperature to 50 5°C (122 9°F) in accordance with the instructions in the Operation Manual.(4) Natural drop test for boom and arm cylinders. 1. Start the engine, extend the bucket cylinder fully to its maximum limit, retract the arm cylinder fully to its maximum limit, raise the boom up to a height where it becomes parallel with the ground, then stop the engine.2. Before performing the measurement, measure the length of boom cylinder rod with a scale. * L1: Length of rod before the measurement.* To obtain the correct measuring results, start the test immediately after setting the position for the test.3.
