VALVE GP-ACCUMULATOR CHARGING 1431340 - Caterpillar

At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill cap located on top of the hydraulic oil tank.2. Open the engine access door on the right side of the machine. 3. Disconnect hose assemblies (3) from filter base (4). Cap and plug immediately.4. Remove four bolts (2) that fasten filter base (4) to the bracket. Lower the filter base to gain access to hose assembly (1). Disconnect hose assembly (1) from the filter base. Cap and plug immediately. Remove the filter base and filter. 5. Remove plug (5), spring (10) and bypass valve (9) from filter base (2). Remove O-ring seal (11) from the plug (5). Check the O-ring seal for damage or wear and replace if necessary.6. Remove two screws (6), and remove bypass indicator (7) from the filter base.7. Remove filter (8) from the filter base. When installing the filter on the filter base, tighten the filter to a torque of 44 3.5 N m (32.6 2.6 lb ft). For installation of the hydraulic oil filter, reverse the removal steps.
