New Function: Update Design Files Based on Location
This function enables the office software to send the machine the most recent design files that apply to the current "project". A "project" is comprised of designs and work required in a specific area of the mine site.Project - A project is an office term referring to all the information required by a machine to work in an area of the site. Each project has a geographic border or "bounding region". If the position of the machine is within the bounding region, the office software assigns the project to the machine. In this way, the machine only receives files associated with the current position of the machine. On the machine, the function enables the operator to initiate a request for the most recent design files.
Request Design Update - Selecting this button sends a request to the office to transmit the most recent design files for the current "project". This option is also available through the main menu by selecting Files > Request Design Update. To update the design files, the operator selects the "Request Design Update" button or menu option.The system automatically performs the following steps:
The Request Design Update button remains unavailable for up to 20 seconds as the request is processed by the office.
The on-board software sends a list of the largest on-board design files (approximately 15 files) and the current revision number of the files to the office.
The office sends the design files that apply to the current location to the machine. The files are either the most recent files or files that are on the machine but are out of date.
Within about 20 seconds, the design files are updated.
The office sends a TMAC message to the machine, which sets the status of each file to one of the following as the status appears in the office:
Prime
Active
On MachineNote: If the office initiates the request design update, the office sends all files in the project, independent of whether the files are present on the machine.If the request is successful, then the design updates on the Plan window and the Request Design Update button is available to use again.If the request is unsuccessful, then within about 20 seconds, the following message appears on-board:
"Request design failed. Repeat request at another location."Improved: Interaction with Fleet
The on-board software now supports messages that will be used with Fleet v4. The on-board software now uses "*.mwf" files that will be created by Fleet v4 in such a way that no unnecessary information is drawn on the display or used by the on-board software.Improved: Dealing with Corrupt Delay File
When the on-board software tried to open a corrupt "delay[number].mwf" file, the on-board software crashed and a "CAES\bin\CrashReport" folder was created. The "CrashReport" folder contained a snap showing that the crash occurred when the operator was selecting a delay.

This issue has been resolved. The on-board software will offer the operator a default delay file, if the original delay file is corrupt. The 15 minute "Default Delay" file (above)
