Transmission Filter
Change the Filter
The transmission filter is located at the right side of the machine. 1. Remove housing (1) and discard the used element (2).2. Clean the filter housing with a clean, nonflammable solvent.3. Clean the housing base.4. Install a new filter element into the housing base.5. Inspect the filter housing seal. Replace the seal, if it is damaged.6. Install the filter housing on to the filter base.7. Start the engine. Apply the service brake. Use the right brake pedal only. 8. Slowly operate the transmission controls to circulate the transmission oil.9. Move the transmission control lever in NEUTRAL. Engage the parking/secondary brake. Inspect for leaks. 10. Maintain the oil level between LOW and FULL marks on dipstick/fill cap. Add the oil through dipstick/fill cap tube, if necessary.11. Stop the engine and install the access covers.Hydraulic System
Change the Filter
The hydraulic system filter is located on the right side of the machine. 1. Remove the oil filler cap (1) to relieve the tank pressure. 2. Loosen the retaining bolt.3. Remove the cover (2) and filter.4. Discard the filter element.5. Inspect the condition of the "O" ring seal. Replace if necessary.6. Install a new filter element and cover (2). Tighten the cover retaining bolt to 58 5 N m (40 4 ft lb). 7. Maintain the hydraulic oil to the FULL mark in sight gauge (3). Add oil if necessary through the fill tube.8. Inspect the filler cap gasket. Replace the gasket, if it is damaged. Install the oil filler cap.Fuel System
Clean and Change Filters
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Wash the Primary Filter Element (NSFS)
1. Remove the left rear access cover of the machine.2. Loosen the filter housing retaining bolt.3. Remove the housing and element.4. Remove the element from the housing.5. Wash the element and housing in clean, nonflammable solvent.6. Dry the element using pressure air.7. Clean the filter case base.8. Inspect the seal. Replace if damaged.9. Insert the clean element.10. Install the element and case into housing.11. Retighten the retaining bolt to a torque of 24 4 N m (18 3 lb ft).Wash the Primary Filter Element (CSTFS)
1. Remove the left rear access cover of the machine. 2. Loosen the filter housing retaining nut (1).3. Remove the housing (2), spring (3) and element (4).4. Remove the element (4) from the housing (2).5. Wash the element (4) and housing (2) in clean, nonflammable solvent.6. Dry the element (4) using pressure air.7. Clean the filter case base.8. Inspect the seal (5). Replace if damaged.9. Insert the spring (3) and clean element (4) into the housing (2).10. Install the housing (2).11. Install the retaining nut (1).12. Tighten the retaining nut (1) securely.Change Secondary Fuel Filter (CSTFS)
1. Remove and discard the filter.2. Clean the filter mounting base. Be sure all of the old seal is removed.3. Coat the seal of a new filter with clean diesel fuel.4. Install the new filter by hand. When the
