Clean Outside of Folded Core Radiator
Unlatch and remove grill screen.Compressed air, high pressure water or steam can be used to remove dust, leaves and general debris from a radiator. Clean as required by condition of radiator.The use of compressed air is preferred. Blow air from the fan side first, then clean debris from the front compartment.Refer to Know Your Cooling System, SEBD0518, for the complete procedure and instructions.Clean Radiator Screen
Wipe guard clean or use pressure air to clean the openings from the back side of the guard.Fuses
Replace
Replace the fuses with the same type and size only. Otherwise, electrical damage can result.If it is necessary to replace fuses frequently, an electrical problem may exist. Contact your Caterpillar dealer.
Fuses - They protect the electrical system from damage caused by overloaded circuits. Replace a fuse if the element separates. If the element of a new fuse separates, have the circuit checked and repaired.Left Hand Fuse Panel
The fuse panel is located under the left side of the dash panel. Auxiliary Circuit (1) - 20A (Terminals 1-2) Auxiliary Circuit (2) - 20A (Terminals 3-4) Auxiliary Circuit (3) - 10A (Terminals 5-6) Auxiliary Circuit (4) - 10A (Terminals 7-8)These circuits can be used for miscellaneous monitors, communication radios, or telephones, etc.Right Hand Fuse Panel
The fuse panel is located under the right side of the dash panel. Front Flood Lights (5) - 20A Rear Flood Lights (6) - 20A Rear Wiper (7) - 15A (Earlier models) 10A (Later models) Fan Blower (8) - 15A Ignition Switch (9) - 15A Cigar Lighter (later models) (10) - 15A Front Wiper (11) - 15A Air Conditioner Clutch (12) - 10A Trailer Turn (13) - 10A Air Suspension Seat (14) - 10A Three-Point Hitch Control (15) - 10A Directional Turn Signals (16) - 10A Dash Lamps/Radio Memory (17) - 10A Radio (If Equipped) - If a Caterpillar radio is installed, a fuse is provided in-line instead of in the fuse panel. The fuse can be accessed by removing the radio and exposing the wiring behind it.
If a radio other than one available from your Caterpillar dealer is installed, an in-line fuse must be provided. Failure to do so can damage the electrical system if an electrical short occurs in the radio circuit.

Inspect
