Description of Change: A new pump is used for the hydrax system. The new pump has improved material for the lip seal of the input shaft. The type of bearing that is used has changed in order to improve the flow of lubrication. A new seal kit for the pump has been released. The seal kit contains the following items:
Ball bearing
Lip seal
Mechanical seal
Four O-ring sealsAdaptable To: The 149-5176 Engine Oil Pump Gp has been cancelled and replaced by the 278-7529 Engine Oil Pump Gp. The 301-0430 Seal Kit can be used to service both the former pump and the new pump. The new pump is adaptable to the engines and the generator sets that are listed above. Table 1 lists the serial number effectivity.
