The above seat belt groups are the service replacement parts for the former seat belts. Certain hardware must also be used along with the new seat belt groups before they can be installed on the above machines. Modifications must be made to the machines before the new seat belts can be installed. See the instruction that follows for the correct installation procedures. (1) Remove seat belts (1). On 769 Trucks, remove two brackets (2). On tractor scrapers, use an Arcair torch to remove brackets (3); grind the area smooth. Use 1.18" (30.0) square steel to make two bars (4) to the dimensions shown for 769B Trucks. Drill the center hole .39"Ø (10.0Ø) and make threads with a 7/16" -20 tap. (2) On 769B Trucks, assemble 8S933 Eyebolt (5) in bar (4). Install a bar (4) on each side of the seat where the former bracket was removed: use S1619 Bolts (6), 6G1332 Plate (7) and two 3K6060 Nuts. Use a .44"Ø (11.0Ø) drill bit to make a hole in the lower rear corner of each side plate of the seat assembly. Fasten belt assembly (9) and strap assembly (8) with the bolts through the new holes on each side of the side plates. Connect strap assembly (8) to eyebolt (5). Install a 3B5311 Cotter Pin in holes (A) in each strap assembly (8). (3) On tractor scrapers, use a .44"Ø (11.0Ø) drill bit to make a hole on each side of the seat, near the center of the location where the former brackets were removed. Install an 8S933 Eyebolt (10) with an 8S934 Nut in each of these holes. Install 3V1932 Seat Belt Group (11) in eyebolts (10). Install a 3B4605 Cotter Pin in holes (B) in each seat belt hook.
