VALVE GP-CHECK 1798186 - Caterpillar

Turn the key counterclockwise to turn the electrical system OFF. Remove the key when leaving the vehicle.
Never turn the disconnect switch OFF while the vehicle is running.
Engine Shutoff (2.) - Move the switch up to stop the engine. Push the switch down to the normal position after the engine stops.
Coolant Flow Switch - All the off-highway trucks have a coolant flow switch, which is mounted on the air cooler bonnet. (The 777 truck coolant flow switch is located in the water pump outlet pipe, on the front of the engine.)When the coolant flow stops, a warning horn will sound. This indicates water pump, hose, or radiator failure. Stop the engine, investigate the cause, and have necessary repairs made.Switches
Windshield Wiper - Turn the knob CLOCKWISE to turn ON the windshield wipers. Turn the knob fully counterclockwise against slight spring pressure to stop the wiper blade.
Engine Start - Turn the start switch to the right (clockwise) to engage the starter motor. Release the START switch after the engine is running.
Lights - Pull the knob out to turn the lights ON. Push the knob in to turn the lights OFF.
Test Panel Lights (1.) - Push the button in. All panel lights should come ON.
Ether Start (2.) - Push the starting fluid control switch in and hold for three seconds. Release the switch for a metered amount of fluid to the engine.
Air Conditioner and Heater Fans - Each switch has three positions. Move the switch UP for HIGH SPEED. The CENTER is OFF and DOWN for the LOW SPEED.Heating and Air Conditioning
Heating Control (1.) - OFF - Push the heating control lever down to OFF.
Warm - Move the heating lever vertically between OFF and ON, for desired amount of heating.
Cool (2.) - Push the cooling control lever vertically between OFF and ON, for the desired amount of cooling.
Air Only (3.) - Pull the air lever up for recirculating air. Push the lever down for fresh air.
Fan Control (4.) - These switches control the air flow speed.
High Speed - Move the switch UP. Off - Center position is off.
Low Speed - Move the switch DOWN.Heating and Air Conditioning System Operation
The heating and cooling system can perform four functions.Heating:
Move the Cooling Control Lever to off. Push the blower fan switches to LOW or HIGH SPEED. Adjust the Heating Control for the desired temperature.Cooling
Move the Heating Control Lever to off. Push the blower fan switches to LOW or HIGH SPEED. Adjust the Cooling Control for the desired temperature.Pressurizing:
Air pressure inside the cab will help keep dust out, when Heating or Cooling is not desired.Move the Heating and Air Conditioning Controls to OFF.Move BOTH fan switches ON, to either HIGH or LOW, to obtain enough air pressure to keep dust out of cab.Defogging
It is possible to use the heating system, with the air conditioning system, to remove moisture from the air in the cab. This will prevent moisture from forming on the windshield and windows.Turn on BOTH blower fans. Adjust both the Heating and Cooling Controls
