Remove Aftercooler Core
1. Drain the coolant from both the aftercooler core and the water lines. 2. Remove three nuts and washers (1).3. Move PEEC unit (3) out of the way.4. Remove eight bolts (4) and (6).5. Remove pipes (2) and (8).6. Remove fuel line brackets (5) from both sides of aftercooler housing.7. Remove bolts (7) and aftercooler housing (9). 8. Remove elbows (10). Remove adapters (8) and (9) from the aftercooler core. Remove bolts (11). 9. Move aftercooler core (12) toward the front of the engine and remove.Install Aftercooler Core
1. Put clean engine oil or glycerin on O-ring seals (13).2. Put aftercooler core (12) into position in the lower aftercooler housing. 3. Install bolts (11). Put clean engine oil or glycerin on O-ring seal (14) and in bores (15) and (16). 5. Put clean engine oil or glycerin on O-ring seals (17) and adapters (18) and (19). Install adapters (18) and (19) in the aftercooler core. 6. Install elbows (10). 7. Put housing (9) into position on the engine. Install bolts (7).8. Install fuel injection line brackets (5). Tighten fuel line bracket bolts to a torque of 4.5 1.1 N m (40 10 lb in).9. Put clean engine oil or glycerin on pipes (2) and (8). Install pipes (2) and (8).10. Reinstall PEEC unit (3).11. Check the cooling system for the correct level.
