Weld block (16) to existing frame (S) .
Prepare the welding area by removing dirt and paint.
Place block (16) at desired location. Refer to Illustration 14 and Illustration 15 for placement of block (16). Be sure that block (16) is flush with the frame at area (V) .
Weld block (16) with a 6 mm (0.25 inch) fillet weld on three sides. Do not weld in area (T) .
Clean the welds around block (16), and refinish the areas with the color of the machine.

Remove existing hardware (W), which consists of four bolts and four washers, from the front side of the step.

Mount plate (20) to the front side of the step using the following:
Fasten three bolts (14) and three hard washers (13) to previously welded block (16) .
Four bolts (10), four hard washers (8), and two washers (4). Washers (4) are used as spacers and go between the step and plate (20) on the top two bolts (10) .

Use four bolts (12), five washers (6), and one nut to install platform (19). Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

Use the listed hardware in Illustration 19 to install step assembly (17) to the previously installed platform and plate assemblies. Do not tighten the bolts at this time.Use three bolts (12) and three hard washers (6) to secure step assembly (17) to the platform. Use four bolts (10), eight hard washers (6), and four nuts (9) to secure the platform to the lower plate that was previously installed.
Ensure even fit up of both plate and platform, then tighten all the bolts and nuts installed in Step 4 and Step 5.

Step assembly (17) is pre-drilled for the rear egress assembly available for the left side of the machine. The parts listed in Illustration 20 are to be installed as needed by the customer. These parts will require drilling holes for installing brackets (18) to meet the customer needs. Hardware is included in the kit to mount the bracket where the customer wants.Note: Step assembly (17) is not to be assembled as a stairway on the right-hand side of the machine.
