Illustration 1 g01220254Apron Control - The joystick control is located on the right side of the operator compartment. The thumb lever is located on the top of the joystick control. The thumb lever controls the direction and speed of the apron. When the engine is off and there is electrical power, the thumb lever will lower the apron. When there is no electrical power to the machine, the thumb lever will not lower the apron.
Apron FLOAT (1) - Push the thumb lever completely to the left and release the thumb lever. This allows the apron to maintain a constant level. The FLOAT position should be used when you are hauling a load. This allows the height of the bowl to be adjusted without spilling material onto the road surface. Moving the thumb lever to the left or right will turn off the float mode. If you turn on the auto return function of the ejector, this will turn off the float mode. When the thumb lever is in the FLOAT position, an indicator light will illuminate on the front dash. Refer to the “Indicators” topic in Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Monitoring System" for more information.
Apron LOWER (2) - Push the thumb lever partially to the left in order to lower the apron. The speed of the apron will increase as the thumb lever is pushed further from the HOLD position. The thumb lever will return to the HOLD position when the thumb lever is released.Apron HOLD (3) - The thumb lever will return to the HOLD position when the thumb lever is released. The apron will remain in the position that is selected.
Apron RAISE (4) - Push the thumb lever completely to the right in order to raise the apron. The speed of the apron will increase as the thumb lever is pushed further from the HOLD position. The thumb lever will return to the HOLD position when the thumb lever is released.
