Cat® Grade Control is now an orderable, factory fit aftermarket option through SITECH. The aftermarket kits are available for ordering and installation through the SITECH dealer channel on the machines that are listed above.The aftermarket kit is a value added option for machine control customers after initial purchase and factory shipment of the machine. Dealers can now recommend technology options on qualifying machines in dealer inventory. The aftermarket solution can also reduce longer lead times for factory machines ordered with Cat Grade Control.The following machine options are available:
Track-Type TractorsCat Grade Control enables 2D Cat Slope Assist for Cat D3K2, D4K2, and D5K2 Tier 4 Final Track-Type Tractors. The 2D Slope Assist function allows semi-automatic mainfall and tilt control of the dozer blade using a GS420 (IMU) sensor. The operator can configure the mainfall and blade slope and the machine will hold these settings until the operator overrides the values with the joystick again. Cat Slope Assist is used for grading pads, slopes, or cleaning up work areas. Every machine with 2D Cat Cross Slope can be upgraded to Cat AccuGradeTM GNSS, Universal Total Station (UTS) or laser solutions.
Cat Motor GradersCat Grade Control Cross Slope for M, M2, and M3 Motor Graders adds a 2D cross slope system to the machine. The Cat Cross Slope standard machine display allows the operator to set a target cross slope, display the actual cross slope and display the direction of the blade slope.
Cat Wheel Tractor ScrapersCat Grade Control for H-Series and K-Series Wheel Tractor Scrapers enhances sequence assist and load assist functionality. The single GNSS automatic system controls the depth of the cutting implement, which prevents cutting below grade.Note: Cat Grade Control Aftermarket is only available through SITECH dealers who have signed and completed a Cat Technology Distribution Agreement.
