ACTION REQUIRED
Install the new 3305557/">330-5557 Software onto the machine control ECM. All previous configuration settings and calibration values will be carried over to the new software. No other action is required for the software rework.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ET2008A OR LATER BE INSTALLED ON THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN'S COMPUTER BEFORE PERFORMING THE NEXT PROCEDURE. Recalibrate the blade raise and blade lower solenoids as described in the "Implement Solenoids Calibrations" section of Testing and Adjusting Manual, KENR5705; D3K, D4K and D5K Track-type Tractors Electrohydraulic System. The calibration procedure is performed via ET. For consistency, it is recommended that the "pressure-based" calibration be used, though the "visual-based" calibration also produces good results. For the "pressure-based" calibration, the FT-3080 pressure sensor tooling is required ... The FT-3080 tooling may be built by the dealer by assembling one 221-3405 Sensor GP-Pressure, one 301-7445 Coupler, and one 3J-1907 Seal-O-Ring. VERY IMPORTANT: Be aware that wording of the blade raise and lower solenoid calibration procedure is not correct in some versions of ET previous to ET2008A. If ET2008A or later is installed, perform calibration as stated on ET screen. If ET2008A or later is not installed on the computer being used, be very careful to do the following ... For the blade raise solenoid calibration, be sure that the blade is approximately one foot or more off of the ground. For the blade lower solenoid calibration, be sure that the blade is pushed down onto a firm surface such that the track idlers are lifted approximately one foot off of the ground. This last part in particular is critical to producing a good calibration for good fine grading modulation. Verify that fine modulation is now acceptable.
Remove each of the eight carrier roller post mount bolts (four per side) one at a time. The hole depth does not need to be increased, so do not drill out the holes further. Using an M12 x 1.75 bottoming tap, increase the depth of the thread in each hole as much as possible ... The resulting thread depth should be 25mm minimum. Reinstall each bolt and tighten to a torque of 100 +/- 20 Nm (Image 2). Using a ratchet-style wrench or socket with ratchet handle to turn the tap (Image 1) will make it easier to rework the bolt holes one at a time, without the need to remove the carrier roller/post assembly from the track roller frame.
