Accessory Power System components (37) Air conditioning compressor electric motor powered by 320 VDC from APC (38) Accessory Power Converter (APC) (39) Hazardous Voltage Present Lamp (HV Present Lamp) (40) 28.5 VDC System / Battery Charging Voltage from APC (41) Water Pump Motor Control (42) Electric Water PumpThe main components that are used in the Accessory Power System and the function of each components are: (37) AC Compressor - The APC supplies 320 VDC for the operation of the AC Compressor. An internal inverter in the compressor inverts the DC voltage to three-phase AC voltage that is used to power the compressor. (38) Accessory Power Converter (APC) - The APC receives a 650 VDC power supply through the DC Power Bus. The APC supplies 320 VDC power for Water Pump Motor Control and the Air Conditioner Compressor Motor through the Accessory Power Bus. In addition, the APC supplies the 28.5 VDC battery charging voltage to the batteries and the machine system power when the Generator is enabled. (39) Hazardous Voltage Present Lamp (HV Present Lamp) - The HV Present Lamp is used as a DC Power Bus status indicator. Always refer to Troubleshooting, "Electrical Maintenance Guidelines" for the Safe Shutdown Procedure before any maintenance procedure is performed on any of the power train electric drive system components. (40) System Voltage / Battery Charging - The APC supplies 28.5 VDC to the positive post of the battery for charging and for machine system control voltage. (41) Water Pump Motor Control - The Water Pump Motor Control controls the operation of the Electric Water Pump. The control receives 320 VDC power from the APC. The Water Pump Motor Control has an internal inverter that creates three phases of AC square wave variable frequency power. This AC power is sent to the three phase AC Electric Water Pump. The speed of the pump is controlled according based on the temperature of the engine coolant and the separate circuit coolant as reported by the Engine ECM. The radiator is divided into three separate sections for cooling the coolant from the different cooling systems on the machine. The Separate Cooling Circuit coolant is circulated through one of the three radiator sections. (42) Electric Water Pump - The Electric Water Pump is powered and controlled by the Water Pump Motor Control. The Water Pump Motor Control has an internal inverter that creates three phases of AC square wave variable frequency power. The power is sent to the three phase AC Electric Water Pump. The pump circulates the primary system coolant through the Engine. In addition, a separate section pump within the Electric Water Pump is used to circulate coolant through some of the power train components in a "Separate Cooling Circuit".Note: The APC will detect abnormal conditions that exist in the Accessory Power System circuits or components. The APC will communicate these conditions to the Implement ECM. The Implement ECM will activate diagnostic codes or event codes that are related to the APC
