Problem
Certain 9F3099(24V) and 302266(12V) Magnetic Switches have a soft insulating bushing. The relay switch contacts will not close to provide battery voltage to the starter solenoid.
Action Required
Remove all 9F3099 and 302266 Magnetic Switches from parts stock that have date codes from "4A1" through "6A31". The build date is located on the bottom of the switch. To interpret the date codes use these examples: 4A1 - January 1, 1984 4J22 - September 22, 1984 5M31 - December 31, 1985 6A31 - January 31, 1986 (1st number is year, letter is month, 2nd number is day.) WARRANTY ALLOWANCES Submit one claim for all 9F3099 and 302266 Switches removed from parts stock.
