Attach a suitable lifting device onto lateral control rod (2). The weight of lateral control rod (2) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).

Remove bolt (8), nut (10), washers (9), and pin (11). Repeat this step for the remaining pin.
Remove lateral control rod (2).

Remove retaining ring (12). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the lateral control rod.
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to remove spherical bearing (13).
Repeat Steps 1 through 9 for the remaining spherical bearing.Installation Procedure

Lower the temperature of spherical bearing (13). Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to install spherical bearing (13).Note: Use a suitable band clamp to retain the bearing race.
Install retaining ring (13). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the lateral control rod.
Repeat Steps 1 through 2 for the remaining bearing.

Apply Tooling (C) onto the pin bores of the frame assembly. Use a suitable lifting device to install lateral control rod (2). The weight of lateral control rod (2) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).
Install pin (11), washers (9), bolt (8), and nut (10). Repeat this step for the remaining pin.

Connect grease hose assembly (7).

Position breather assembly (6) and install clip (5). Connect grease hose assembly (4).

Remove the suitable blocking from frame assembly (1) and frame assembly (3). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

Lower the truck and remove Tooling (A) from frame assembly (1). Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1328, "Lift Group (Stand - 60 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A).End By:
