Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Remove two bolts (1) and the washers.

Remove two bolts (2) and the washers. Carefully remove grill assembly (3) .

Remove bolts (4) and hood access cover (5) .

Install Tooling (A), as shown.
Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to Tooling (A), as shown.

Mark the location of the left hood hinge. Remove bolts (9) .

Mark the location of the right hood hinge. Remove bolts (10) .
Use the hoist in order to remove the engine hood. The weight of the engine hood is 125 kg (275 lb).
