The Interface Module Kit is adaptable in the field to the above listed machines.Certain Off-Highway Trucks now have an open architecture for tire inputs, allowing third-party tire monitoring systems to transmit tire heat, pressure, and compensated pressure to both the operator and the mine office in real time through VIMS.The new Interface Module Kit includes a Machine Control Module and wire harness. A required Software Enabled Attachment (SEA) must be downloaded and activated during the time of install for the tire monitoring system to function. Cat® Software Enabled Attachments are downloaded, installed, and activated via Cat Electronic Technician (Cat ET).For the required parts and procedure to interconnect VIMS, refer to the latest version of Special Instruction, REHS7322, "Health Interface Module Configuration and Operation Guide for Certain Trucks Equipped with a Non-Cat Tire Monitoring System". This publication can be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS) and through the normal literature distribution system at your Cat dealer.
