Procedure For Addition Of Reinforcement Plates
1. Use the Service Manual as a reference to remove the ejector lift frame assembly.2. Fabricate two plates as shown in Illustration 1 from 1.250" thick, high-strength structural steel. Put a 15.88 mm (.625") chamfer on the three edges as shown in the illustration. Chamfers must be on the outside surface of the reinforcement plate. See Illustration 2. Remember, the chamfers must go on opposite sides of the plate because one plate will be installed on the left side of the frame assembly and the other plate will be installed on the right side.
Illustration 1. Dimensions for the reinforcement plates. Two are necessary.3. Cut the bottom plate on the ejector lift frame assembly back to its weld. See Illustration 2. This will give enough clearance so that the reinforcement plate can be welded.4. Weld the plates on as shown in Illustration 2.

If necessary, use a file to remove a small amount of material to permit easy installation of the pin for the link assembly.6. Use the Service Manual as a reference to install the frame assembly. Connect the link assembly.7. Start the scraper and test the operation of the ejector.
