Blocking the Bowl
Park the machine on level ground.
Engage the parking brake.

Raise the bowl. Place a block under the bowl. Blocks should be of material that is suitable for carrying the weight of the bowl.
Lower the bowl to the block. Block the bowl only to a height so that the bowl can be worked on.
Move the joystick control to the HOLD position.
Stop the engine. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.Blocking the Apron
Note: Any material that might fall on the worker should be removed from the apron.
Park the machine on level ground.
Engage the parking brake.

Raise the apron. The pin is located on the left side of the machine at the front of the scraper bowl. Remove the retaining bolt. Remove the pin from the storage area. Install the pin into the orifice in the side of the bowl. Install the retaining bolt back into the original position.
Lower the apron onto the pin.
Move the joystick control to the HOLD position.
Stop the engine. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Warning Signs and Labels" for more information on blocking the apron.
