Note: The side of the equalizer bar that must be oriented toward the front of the machine is stamped with the component part number and the word FRONT.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.
Do not use threaded rods that have not been hardened as tooling with hydraulic cylinders. The maximum rated tonnage should be stamped on one end of the puller studs. Do not use threaded rods that have not been stamped with the rated tonnage.

Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to align equalizer bar (6) with track roller frames (7). The weight of the equalizer bar varies from 190 kg (420 lb) on the standard machine to 375 kg (825 lb) on the LGP machine.
Apply a light coating of 90W oil to the inside diameter of the end pin seals of the equalizer bar.

Use Tooling (E) and Tooling (F) to install equalizer bar end pins (8) into track roller frames (7) and equalizer bar (6).

Install plate (3), bolts (4), and bolt (5) into the track roller frame.
Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for the other end of the equalizer bar.
Use Tooling (D) to raise the machine.
Apply Tooling (H) to the front bore of the equalizer bar saddle and to the rear diameter of the equalizer bar center pin. Keep Tooling (H) out of the bearings of the equalizer bar.

Position one spacer (13) on each side of the equalizer bar.

Lower the machine and align equalizer bar (6) with equalizer bar saddle (14). Manually install the equalizer bar center pin.

Use Tooling (G) to install equalizer bar center pin (12). The end of the center pin must be even with the rear surface of equalizer bar saddle (14).

Install plate (9), bolts (10), and bolt (11) to equalizer bar saddle (14).

Install bolts (1) into pivot shaft seal (2).
Remove Tooling (A) from the machine.
Fill the equalizer bar end pins with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Equalizer Bar End Pins - Lubricate".End By:
Install the pads onto the ends of the equalizer bar.
