Measure the gap between locking plate (18) and the bottom of pin (20), through the hole in locking plate (18). Record the measurement.
Remove four bolts (19) and locking plate (18) .
Measure the thickness of locking plate (18). Subtract this amount from value found in Step 62. This is the thickness of shims required between locking plate (18) and the bottom of pin (20) .

Install the thickness of shims recorded in Step 61 between locking plate (18) and the front frame.
Install the thickness of shims recorded in Step 64 between locking plate (18) and the bottom of pin (20) .
Install locking plate (18) .
Apply Tooling (M) then apply Tooling (P) to the threads of bolts (19). Install four bolts (19). Tighten four bolts (19) to a torque of 475 14 N m (350 10 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (M) then apply Tooling (N) to the threads of bolts (17). Install eight bolts (17) and the washers. Tighten eight bolts (17) to a torque of 120 7 N m (90 5 lb ft).

Remove wood blocks from under the rear frame.

Connect hose assembly (14) .

Connect hose assemblies (10), (12) and (13) .
Connect nine hose assemblies (11) .

Connect electrical connector (6) .
Position the clip and install bolt (5) and the nut.

Apply Tooling (R) to the bore of steering cylinder (47) .
Align the bores of steering cylinder (47) and the front frame. Install pin (48) and shims (46) .

Install three plugs (49) in each collet.

Install three bungs (6) in each collet.
Apply Tooling (L) to the inside and the outside diameters of collets (5) and (7) .
Install collets (5) and (7) .
Apply Tooling (L) to the threads of bolt (4). Install bolt (4) and the washer.Note: The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other when the bolt is tight.
Tighten bolt (4) to a torque of 900 100 N m (660 75 lb ft). After the bolt is tight, hit the collet on each side with a heavy hammer until the torque on the bolt is less than 360 N m (265 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (4) again to torque of 900 100 N m (660 75 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque for the bolt is less than 570 N m (420 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (4) to a final torque of 900 100 N m (660 75 lb ft).
Install nut (3) and tighten to a torque of 500 65 N m (370 48 lb ft).Note: At the end of 50 service hours, loosen nut (3) and repeat Step 83 through Step 86.

Connect hose assembly (1) .
Repeat Step 76 through Step 87 for the steering cylinder on the other side.
Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the proper filling procedure.
