Ensure that the correct valve mechanism groupis installed when completing this program. Effective with serial number3JK00875, the valve mechanism groups include valve bridges that do notride on dowels. Refer to Engine News SEBD9258 for a detailed description.
Prior to starting job, refer to SENR5534 "Disassembly& Assembly 3408 & 3412 High Performance Marine Engines". This documentwill provide detailed instructions for the removal and installation ofthe cylinder head as well as special tools that are required.
