3. Mount indicator on spider and adjust to contact case face.4. Adjust indicator to read 0.0 mm (.00").5. Turn the spider and read the indicator every 90°.6. The difference between the lowest and highest measurements must not exceed the maximum permissible case face runout of 0.56 mm (.022").Procedure To Check Pump Drive Case Pilot Runout
7. Mount indicator on spider and adjust to contact case pilot.8. Adjust indicator to read 0.0 mm (.00").9. Turn the spider and read the indicator every 90°.10. The difference between the lowest and highest measurements must not exceed the maximum permissible case pilot runout of 0.23 mm (.009").11. Install the 8K2432 Shims removed in Step 1. Use the procedure in the appropriate Service Manual to adjust the pump drive end play to a dimension of 0.20 0.05 mm (.008 .002").
