start by:a) remove engine and dividerb) remove oil panc) remove flywheeld) remove electric starting motor 1. Remove bolts (1) and the locks that hold the baffle in position. Remove baffle (2).2. Install two 3/4"-10NC forged eyebolts and nuts in the supports at the rear of the flywheel housing.3. Install 7/16"-14NC forged eyebolt in the top of the flywheel housing as shown.4. Fasten a hoist to the flywheel housing. 5. Connect tool (A) to the eyebolt at the top of the flywheel housing and to the hoist.6. Remove bolts (3) and cover (4) from the flywheel housing. Put identification on the bolts to prevent mixing at assembly.7. Remove bolts (5) from cover (6). Remove the cover. Put identification on the bolts to prevent mixing at assembly.8. Remove bolts (7) from the rear side of the flywheel housing.9. Remove bolts (8) from the flywheel housing. 10. Remove flywheel housing (9). Weight of the flywheel housing is 650 lb. (295 kg).Install Flywheel Housing
1. Fasten a hoist to the flywheel housing and to tool (A). Put flywheel housing (1) in position on the housing assembly.2. Install the bolts that hold the flywheel housing to the rear of the housing assembly.3. Install the bolts that hold the flywheel housing from the rear side of the housing assembly.4. Remove the hoist and tool (A). 5. Put cover (2) in position over the camshaft drive gear. Install the bolts that hold it.6. Install the cover over the fuel pump and governor drive gear. Install the bolts that hold it. 7. Put baffle (3) in position in the flywheel housing.
