start by:a) remove engine and aftercooler radiators1. Put the engine and aftercooler radiator assembly on the blocks. Make sure the blocks are under the tanks of both radiators. 2. Remove nineteen bolts that hold three upper strips (1) in position. Remove the three upper strips and the three baffles that they hold in place. Do not remove the bottom strip and baffle. 3. Remove the five bolts that hold left shield (3) in position. Remove the shield from the engine radiator.4. Remove the six bolts that hold right shield (2) in position and remove the shield from the engine radiator. 5. Remove four bolts (5) that hold bottom shield assembly (4) in position. Remove the shield assembly from the support assemblies. 6. Remove four bolts (6) that hold upper baffle assembly (7) in place. Remove the baffle assembly from the support assemblies. 7. Remove four bolts (9) that hold lower baffle assembly (8) in place. Remove the baffle assembly from the support assemblies. 8. The weight of left support assembly (12) is 340 lb. (154 kg). Fasten a hoist to the assembly as shown.9. Loosen twelve nuts that hold setscrews (13) in position. Loosen the setscrews until all tension is removed from the damper assemblies.10. Remove two bolts (14) and nuts from the aftercooler radiator bracket.11. Remove two bolts (15) from the engine radiator bracket.12. Remove three aftercooler radiator bolts (10) and four engine radiator bolts (11) from the top of the support assembly.13. Remove the left support assembly from the radiator.14. Do Steps 8 through 13 again for the right support assembly. 15. Remove two bolts (17) that hold aftercooler radiator damper assembly in place.16. Remove two bolts (16) that hold engine radiator damper assembly in place.17. The weight of the support assembly without the damper assemblies is 270 lb. (122 kg). Fasten a hoist to the support assembly and remove it from the damper assemblies. 18. Use this procedure to lift the radiators separately: a) Remove the safety valve from the top tank of the radiator.b) Install tool (A) in place of the safety valve. Use holes (18) for the aftercooler radiator and holes (19) for the engine radiator. Use the bolts from the safety valve.c) Fasten a hoist to tool (A) to remove the radiator from the blocks. The weight of the aftercooler radiator is 380 lb. (172 kg). The weight of the engine radiator is 1010 lb. (458 kg).Assemble Engine And Aftercooler Radiators
1. Use this procedure to Put the radiators in position for assembly: a) Remove the safety valve from the top of the radiator. b) Install tool (A) in place of the safety valve. Use holes (1) for the aftercooler radiator and holes (2) for the engine radiator. Use the bolts from the safety valve.c) Fasten a hoist to tool (A) to put the radiators on blocks on the floor. The weight of the aftercooler radiator is 380 lb. (172 kg). The weight of the engine radiator is 1010 lb. (458 kg). In
