Start By:a. remove water spray tank The removal and installation procedure is the same for the front and rear bumper assembly. 1. Remove four bolts (1) and grill (2) from bumper assembly (3). 2. If the front bumper assembly is being removed, remove bolt and nut (4) that fastens horn (5) to the bumper assembly. Put identification marks on two wires (6). Disconnect the two wires from the horn. If the rear bumper assembly is being removed, remove the two bolts and nuts that fasten the backup alarm to the bumper assembly. Put identification marks on two wires attached to the backup alarm, and disconnect the two wires.3. Remove cable ties (7) that fasten the wiring harness to bumper assembly. 4. Disconnect electrical connector (8) from the water spray pump. Remove cable ties (9) that fasten the wiring harness to yoke. 5. Disconnect water lines (10) from the water spray pump.6. Remove the bolt and clip that fastens the wiring harness to the yoke. 7. Remove two nuts and bolts (11) that fasten harness assembly (12) to both sides of the bumper assembly. 8. Disconnect electrical connector (13) from head lamp (15) on both sides of the bumper assembly. Remove all cable ties (14) that attach the wiring harness to the bumper assembly.9. Disconnect water line (16) from the tee.10. Remove the four bolts, and remove the plate and the head lamp from both sides of the bumper assembly.11. Pull wiring harness (12) from the bumper assembly to the right side of the machine. 12. Remove the outer drum scraper. Refer to the topic "Remove & Install Drum Scrapers" in this module.13. Install Tooling (A) on each side of bumper assembly (3) as shown. Attach lifting straps and a hoist to Tooling (A).14. Remove four bolts (17) from each side of the bumper assembly, and remove bumper assembly (3) from the machine. The weight of the bumper assembly is 409 kg (900 lb). For installation of the bumper assembly, reverse the removal steps.
