Select "MAS login" button (1) on the desktop.
Shut down the MAS software by selecting "Stop" (2) .
Start the MAS software.
Ensure that the joysticks are centered and not moved by personnel or an object during startup.Expected Result:Joystick menu appears.Results:
YES - Joystick menu appears. Continue with normal operation.STOP
NO - Joystick menu does not appear. Error still in the joystick window. Proceed to Test Step 3.
NO - Error recurs during normal operation. Proceed to Test Step 3.Test Step 3. Replace the Joystick.
Replace the motion control joystick.
Select "MAS login" button (1) on the desktop.
Shut down the MAS software by selecting "Stop" (2) .
Start the MAS software.
Ensure that the joysticks are centered and not moved by personnel or an object during startup.Expected Result:Joystick menu appears.Results:
YES - Joystick menu appears. Continue with normal operation.STOP
NO - Error still in the joystick window.Repair: Repeat this test step for the bucket control joystick. Proceed to Test Step 4.Test Step 4. Check Joystick Menu Displays - "5042 Left Joystick: Not Responding" and "5052 Right Joystick: Not Responding".

Joystick power supply is not turned on or has failed
Joystick or harness wiring faultResults:Continue to the next test step.Test Step 5. Check Joystick Power Supply if both Left and Right Joysticks are Not Responding.

Ensure that power supply (6) in the computer rack is switched on.
Check the voltage from power supply (6) is 24 VDC 1 VDC.Expected Result:Joystick menu appears.Results:
YES - Joystick menu appears. Continue with normal operation.STOP
NO - Left and/or right joystick still not responding. Proceed to Test Step 6.Test Step 6. Check the Joystick Wiring.
Ensure the DB9 connection to the rear of operator console computer is secure.
Check that the harness connections to each joystick are secure.
Check for harness damage including stretched harness due to seat movement.
Ensure Controller Area Network (CAN) 120 ohm termination resistors are connected across bus lines.Expected Result:Joystick menu appears.Results:
YES - Joystick menu appears. Continue with normal operation.STOP
NO - Left and/or right joystick still not responding indicating a possible internal joystick fault. Proceed to Test Step 3.Test Step 7. Check Joystick Menu Displays - "High Load" Warning.Diagnostic codes "5043 Left joystick: high load warning" or "5053 Right joystick: high load warning" will appear indicating a high demand on the operator console computer.Expected Result:There is a normal demand on the operator console computer.Results:
YES - There is a normal demand on the operator computer console.STOP
NO - There is a high demand on the operator console. Proceed to Test Step 8.Test Step 8. Check CPU Usage.

On the operator console computer keyboard, simultaneously hold "CTRL-ALT-DEL" keys to open "Windows Task Manager" (7) .
Select "Performance" (8) .
Check that "CPU usage" (9) is not
