Engine News, SEBD9801, 14 August 2012, "New Bellows, Inlet Air Tubes, and Brackets Are Used on a 3512C Engine". The article has been revised to add two brackets and installation instructions for the brackets.Description of Change: The new bellows are more rugged and better able to withstand thermal expansion. The new inlet air tubes accommodate the new bellows, and the new brackets support the new inlet air tubes.Adaptable To: The new parts are adaptable to the above engines back to first production.The new parts are effective with LLK00125.The new parts and original parts are listed in Table 1. The original parts are not canceled.The new parts are shown in Illustration 1.

Remove two bolts (1), two washers (2), two full nuts (3) from the top of the bracket. Remove two bolts (5), two washers (2) from the bottom of the bracket. Remove the bracket (4) from engine. Retain the washer and some bolts for reuse.

Install a new bracket (6) with four bolts (1), eight washers (2), and four full nuts (3) .

Remove two bolts (1), two washers (2), and two full nuts (3) from the top of the bracket. Remove three bolts (5), and three washers (2) from the bottom of the bracket. Remove the bracket (7) from engine. Retain the washer and some bolts for reuse.

Install a new bracket (8), with four bolts (1), eight washers (2), and four full nuts (3).
