Remove the power train guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Powertrain Guard (Transmission) - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Install Tooling (A). Remove bolts (1). Repeat for opposite side. Discard bolts (1).
Remove drive shaft (2). The weight of drive shaft (2) is approximately 97 kg (215 lb).

Remove bolts (3). Discard bolts (3). Remove spider (4).
Repeat Steps 2 and 3 on the opposite side.Installation Procedure

1U-7505 Hydraulic Jack 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install spider (4).
Install new bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 530 70 N m (390 51 lb ft).
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 on the opposite side.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install drive shaft (2). Remove drive shaft (2). The weight of drive shaft (2) is approximately 97 kg (215 lb).
Install new bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 530 70 N m (390 51 lb ft).
Repeat for the opposite side.End By:
Install the power train guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Powertrain Guard (Transmission) - Install".
