Right Side Shown1. Remove bolts (1) and the lockwashers. Remove guard (2).
Do not, under any condition, remove valves or plugs from the cylinder unless the rod is fully retracted and all nitrogen pressure is released. Do not stand under the vehicle when it is lifted or lowered. The clearance above your head can decrease suddenly. The vehicle must be empty and on level ground to release the nitrogen pressure.
2. Put tooling (C) in position under lower mounting (3) for the hoist cylinders. 3. Install tooling (B) on the nitrogen valve. Turn the chuck "CLOCKWISE" to loosen the nitrogen valve. Use tooling (A) to lower the vehicle weight on the cylinders until the rods are completely retracted. When the cylinder is completely retracted, the distance between the centers of the pins that hold the cylinder (dimension X) is 91.4 cm (36.00 in.).4. Put tooling (C) in position under lower mount (3) for the hoist cylinders. Remove tooling (A).
Right Side Shown5. Remove bolt (4) and the washer that holds the pin and one end of the cylinder to the rear of the vehicle.
Right Side Shown6. Put pin (6) behind the top end of the cylinder as shown to keep the cylinder in position when pin (5) is removed.7. Remove pin (5).8. Fasten a hoist and a nylon strap to the top end of the cylinder. Remove pin (6).
Right Side Shown9. Lower the top end of the cylinder on tooling (D).10. Remove bolt (7) and the washer that holds the bottom pin in position.
Right Side Shown11. Fasten a second nylon strap to the rear suspension cylinder as shown.12. Remove pin (8), and remove rear suspension cylinder (9) from the vehicle. The weight of the cylinder is 302 kg (665 lb.).Install Rear Suspension Cylinders

Be careful not to cause damage to the finished surface on the rod of the suspension cylinder.
1. Put rear suspension cylinder (2) in the horizontal position on the frame with a hoist, nylon straps and tooling (A).2. Install pin (1) through the bore in the bottom end of the cylinder and through the bores in the frame.
Left Side Shown3. Install bolt (3) and the washer to hold pin (1) in place4. Use the hoist to put the suspension cylinder in position. Use tool (B) (not shown) and a nylon strap to put the bore in the top end of the cylinder and the bore in the vehicle frame in horizontal alignment. Use tooling (C) in position under the lower mounting for the hoist cylinders to adjust vertical alignment.
Right Side Shown5. Install the pin. Install washer and bolt (4).
Right Side Shown6. Install guard (5).7. Remove tooling (D) from under the lower mounting for the hoist cylinders.8. Charge the cylinders with oil and nitrogen. START BY:a. remove rear suspension cylinders
Make sure the cylinder is completely discharged before it is disassembled.
Remove the plate assembly from the cylinder assembly before the suspension cylinder
