VALVE AS-DRAIN 3779626 - Caterpillar

Before any air lines are disconnected from the reservoir, make sure the air pressure is zero.
1. Turn the valve on the bottom of the reservoir to the "OPEN" position and release the air pressure from the reservoir. 2. Put tooling (A) in position under crankcase guard (1). Remove the bolts and remove the crankcase guard. The weight of the crankcase guard is 41 kg (90 lb.). 3. Put tooling (A) in position under bottom guard (2). Remove the bolts and remove the bottom guard. The weight of the bottom guard is 50 kg (110 lb.). 4. Disconnect air lines (3) and (4) from the air reservoir. 5. Disconnect air line (5) from the air reservoir. 6. Remove bolts (6) and the nuts. Remove clamps (7) and remove the air reservoir.Install Air Reservoir
1. Put air reservoir (1) in position on the machine. Install clamps (2) that hold it. 2. Connect air line (3) to the air reservoir. 3. Connect air lines (4) and (5) to the air reservoir. 4. Install bottom guard (6) on the machine with tooling (A). 5. Install crankcase guard (7) on the machine with tooling (A).6. Turn the valve on the bottom of the reservoir to the "CLOSED" position.
