Remove the gear pump (hoist and brake). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Hoist and Brake) - Remove".

Position the gear pump in a soft jawed vise. Remove eight bolts (36). Keep flange assembly (4) as straight as possible. Lift flange assembly (4) off body assembly (7).
Use Tool (A) to remove two bushings (5) from flange assembly (4).
Use a screwdriver to remove lip seal (2) from flange assembly (4). Use Tool (B) to remove retaining ring (1) from flange assembly (4). Use a screwdriver to remove the remaining lip seal (2) from flange assembly (4).
Remove plug (21) from flange assembly (4).
Put identification marks on pressure plate (32) for assembly purposes. Remove O-ring seal (22) and pressure plate (32) from body assembly (7).
Remove two dowels (6) from body assembly (7).
Put identification marks on the seal for assembly purposes. Remove the seal from pressure plate (32).
Put identification marks on idler gear (3) and on drive gear (20) for assembly purposes. Remove idler gear (3) and drive gear (20) from body assembly (7).
Put identification marks on pressure plate (35) for assembly purposes. Remove pressure plate (35) from body assembly (7).
Put identification marks on the seal for assembly purposes. Remove the seal from pressure plate (35).
Remove four full nuts (37) and the hard washers that hold body assembly (7) to plate assembly (10). Remove body assembly (7) from plate assembly (10).
Use Tool (A) to remove two bushings (8) from body assembly (7).
Remove two dowels (25) from plate assembly (10).
Use Tool (C) to remove four studs (38) from body assembly (7).
Remove O-ring seal (24) from plate assembly (10).
Remove dust cap (33), nipple assembly (34) and the O-ring seal from body assembly (7).
Remove spline coupling (23) from drive gear (19).
Remove eight socket head bolts (9) and the hard washers from plate assembly (10). Remove plate assembly (10) from
